1. Get rid of things you don't use.
In order to organize your garage, the first thing you need to do is get rid of things you don't use. If you're like most people, you probably don't even remember what you have stored in your garage. In order to declutter, set aside a weekend to take everything out of your garage. Look at what you have and decide if you still need all of it.
